What is the meaning of Qasabeh

Qanat Qasabeh (Kasbah) in Gonabad city is the deepest and oldest aqueduct in the world.

The Iranian aqueduct was included in the list of works registered in UNESCO at the meeting in Istanbul, Turkey on July 24, 2016. The qanat qasabeh of the town of Gonabad was also among the registered aqueducts.

The Kariz of the city of Gonabad, which is one of the water masterpieces of the world, consists of two main streams and six sub-branches, and its mother well is located on the northern slope of Siah Mountain and the current exit of the aqueduct is located in the south of the neighborhood known as Kasbe Shahr. The length of this aqueduct is more than 33 km, and the depth of the main well is about 300 meters (+-5) and its water supply is more than 130 liters per second.
